Curtis Timmerman
President & CEO

Curt Timmerman's experience in the Semiconductor Industry started in 1984 with the software development of control systems for Sputtering and Etching machines at the Perkin-Elmer Corporation. In 1987, he acted as System Engineer and was responsible for all software development of Micralign. He continued to enhance the product line through 1996 and also gained experience with the Micrascan product line (then owned by SVGL). In 1997, Mr. Timmerman joined Beta Squared as a Software Consultant on Micralign. In 1999, he and Joe Briganti completed a management buyout of the Lithography Division of Beta Squared, Inc. to form Beta Squared Lithography, Inc. Curt is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer.

Horst Burandt
Director of Manufacturing

Mr. Burandt joined Beta Squared Lithography in 2000 as the Director of Manufacturing. Mr. Burandt brought in his 22 years of Design and Manufacturing experience garnered from 15 years in the Medical Equipment business, most notably as Lorad/Trex Medical. There, he worked in Research & Development working with sales, marketing, regulatory, customers & manufacturing in determining product features & accessories. He also played a major role in the equipment design, and the transfer of the product to manufacturing, under ISO9001 & FDA guidelines. His responsibilities included leading a quality control team for customer satisfaction.
